Singapore Airlines will operate daily nonstop service from Sydney to Seattle starting October 5. Flight SQ228 departs Sydney at 5:45 p.m. and arrives Seattle at 12:10 p.m. the same day. Return SQ229 leaves Seattle at 2:25 p.m. and reaches Sydney at 10:50 p.m. the following day.
The airline deploys Airbus A350-900 aircraft configured with 42 business class, 24 premium economy, and 187 economy seats. Introductory fares start at AUD 1,299 one-way in economy and AUD 4,899 in business class booked by August 31. Codeshare partners Qantas and Alaska Airlines provide connections across Australia and the US Pacific Northwest.
The new route fills a gap left after United Airlines reduced its seasonal Sydney-Los Angeles frequency in 2025. Singapore Airlines expects 180,000 passengers annually on the corridor. The carrier already flies daily from Singapore to both cities.
