Lufthansa launched a 30 percent discount on all transatlantic Economy and Premium Economy fares booked by July 31. The sale covers flights from 12 US gateways to 28 European destinations. Travel windows run from September 1 through November 30 with blackouts on October 10-12.
Sample roundtrip fares include New York to Frankfurt at 428 USD and Chicago to Munich at 465 USD. Premium Economy receives the same percentage discount with New York to Frankfurt dropping to 1150 USD. The airline added 450000 extra seats to the sale inventory.
This marks Lufthansa's largest transatlantic promotion since 2023 when similar discounts sold out in nine days. The carrier operates 126 weekly flights from North America to Germany this summer. Load factors on US routes reached 89 percent in June.
What this means for you
Book before July 31 using the Lufthansa website and enter code TA30 at checkout. Select flexible fares because change fees remain waived until 24 hours before departure. Connect through Frankfurt or Munich for onward flights to 85 European cities with no additional cost.
Avoid Saturday departures because those dates sell out fastest under the promotion. Families of four or more should call reservations to request adjacent seating blocks. Check mileage earning rates because award tickets are excluded from the discount.
Similar sales typically return in October for winter travel.
