Emirates Adds Daily Dubai to Seattle Nonstop Starting August

Emirates will launch daily nonstop flights between Dubai and Seattle from August 12. The route uses Boeing 777-300ER aircraft with 354 seats. It matters because it creates the first direct link between the Pacific Northwest and the Middle East hub.

Emirates confirmed the new service on June 30 with flights EK 250 departing Dubai at 08:35 and arriving Seattle at 11:55 the same day. Return EK 251 leaves Seattle at 14:25 and reaches Dubai at 19:40 the following day. Introductory fares start at USD 1,099 round-trip in economy for travel through September.

The airline cited strong cargo demand from Boeing suppliers and growing leisure traffic to the Pacific Northwest. Seattle-Tacoma airport will add dedicated check-in counters and expanded customs facilities ahead of launch. Codeshare partners Delta and Qantas will offer connections across North America and Australia.

Background shows Emirates has steadily expanded its US network since 2023 with new routes to Austin and San Diego. Seattle was identified as the next logical addition due to tech industry ties and cruise passenger flows. The carrier now serves 13 US cities with daily frequencies.

What this means for you

Book the introductory fare before July 20 to lock in the lowest prices and select seats early for the 14-hour flight. Connect onward to Asia or Africa via Dubai with minimal layover times under two hours. Avoid peak summer dates if flexible as business class loads are already high.

US citizens can use the new route for visa-free transit in Dubai when traveling to third countries. Families should consider the airline's family seating policy to keep children together on the long-haul leg.
