Singapore Airlines confirmed daily nonstop flights from Singapore Changi to Cape Town International starting 15 October 2026. The route will be operated by Airbus A350-900ULR aircraft configured with 67 business, 24 premium economy and 187 economy seats. Flight time is approximately 11 hours 45 minutes eastbound.
The addition expands the airline’s African network following strong load factors on the existing Singapore-Johannesburg service. Cape Town tourism authorities expect a 30 percent increase in Singaporean visitors within the first year.
Code-share agreements with South African Airways will provide seamless connections to Durban and Port Elizabeth. The schedule offers convenient same-day connections from major Southeast Asian cities.
Introductory business class fares are currently available from SGD 3,288 return until 31 August.
What this means for you
Book the new service for October departures to take advantage of introductory fares before they rise in November. Use the long-haul A350 product for better rest on the ultra-long sector.
Connect onward to safari destinations via Cape Town’s domestic terminal without clearing immigration again. Avoid checking bags through to Johannesburg if your final destination is the Western Cape.
Monitor fuel surcharges as the route may see price adjustments once the initial promotion ends.
