Singapore Airlines introduces daily nonstop service between Singapore Changi and Seattle-Tacoma on 15 July 2026 using Airbus A350-900 aircraft configured with 42 business, 24 premium economy and 187 economy seats. Flight SQ28 departs Singapore at 23:55 and arrives Seattle at 22:40 the same day, while the return SQ27 leaves Seattle at 13:15 and arrives Singapore at 19:55 the following day.
The new route targets growing demand from technology and aerospace sectors between the Pacific Northwest and Southeast Asia. Seattle becomes the airline's fourth US gateway after existing daily services to New York JFK, Los Angeles and San Francisco. Codeshare partners Alaska Airlines and Star Alliance members will feed connecting traffic.
Introductory business class fares start at $3,200 round-trip for July and August travel booked before 30 June. The carrier projects 180,000 annual passengers on the route in its first year. Cargo capacity of 15 tonnes per flight supports high-value electronics shipments.
What this means for you
Book early for peak summer dates as initial capacity is limited to one daily flight. Connect onward to Asia via Singapore's extensive network with minimal connection times at Changi. Check mileage earning rates with your preferred Star Alliance program before purchasing.
Avoid booking basic economy if you need flexibility, as these fares carry higher change fees on the new route. Monitor Singapore Airlines app for schedule adjustments during the first three months of operation.
