Overview

Puy du Fou sits in Les Epesses in the Vendée, about 25 km south of Cholet, 80 km southeast of Nantes and 90 km southwest of Angers. It is built around live historical shows rather than rides: gladiators in a Roman arena, a Viking raid, musketeers, birds of prey over a castle ruin and more.

Most shows are included in the day ticket, and the park runs a timetable, so a visit is planned around show times. The Cinéscénie, a large night spectacle, is sold separately. The park has themed hotels on site, which makes a two or three day stay easy.
