Qatar Airways confirmed weekly nonstop service from Doha to Auckland starting November 7 2026 using Boeing 777-300ER aircraft in a 354-seat configuration. Flight QR4857 departs Doha at 08:40 arriving Auckland at 07:10 the next day. Return QR4858 leaves Auckland at 21:55 arriving Doha at 05:40 the following day.

The route targets New Zealand's growing tourism from Gulf and European markets plus increased cargo demand for dairy and seafood exports. Codeshare agreements with Air New Zealand will connect passengers to domestic destinations.

Background shows previous attempts by Middle East carriers to serve Auckland were seasonal or routed via Australia. Qatar's new hub expansion at Hamad International enabled the direct operation.
