Qatar Airways launched a limited-time business class promotion on June 15 for Doha–Sydney flights departing in July 2026. Return fares dropped from QAR 14,000 to QAR 9,800 when booked by June 30. The airline allocated 12,000 seats across daily QR908 and QR909 services.
Passengers receive full access to the Doha Al Mourjan lounge and Qsuite product with sliding doors. The deal excludes peak dates around July 15–20 but applies to all other July departures. Miles earning remains at the standard 100 percent rate for business class.
The promotion follows strong demand recovery on the Australia route after 2025 capacity increases. Sydney Airport added extra immigration desks to handle larger business class arrivals. Qatar has sold 78 percent of business seats on the route year-to-date.
Economy fares also see a 15 percent reduction under the same campaign. Bookings must be made directly via the airline website or app.
What this means for you
Lock in the fare immediately if traveling in July as the 12,000-seat allocation is expected to sell out within two weeks. Use flexible date search tools to avoid the excluded peak window.
Combine the ticket with a stopover in Doha using the free hotel offer for bookings over eight hours. Download the app to manage upgrades using Avios if availability opens closer to departure.
The discount provides rare access to Qsuite at prices normally seen only during off-peak periods.
