Air Canada confirmed daily Vancouver-Seoul nonstop flights beginning September 2 2026 using Boeing 787-9 aircraft. Economy fares start at CAD 899 one-way while premium economy begins at CAD 1,899. The 10-hour eastbound flight departs Vancouver at 1:30 p.m. arriving Seoul at 5:30 p.m. the next day.

The route supports growing demand from Korean tourists visiting British Columbia ski resorts. Codeshare partner Korean Air will provide seamless connections to 30 Asian cities. Cargo capacity increases for seafood exports from the Pacific Northwest.

The service revives a route suspended in 2020 and responds to a 35 percent rise in Canada-Korea passenger numbers last year. Vancouver airport completed new international gate expansions in April 2026. Air Canada plans a second daily frequency by summer 2027.

What this means for you

Book the September introductory fares now as they are limited to the first 30 days of operation. Select lie-flat seats in business class for overnight comfort on the 10-hour sector. Connect onward to other Asian cities on the same ticket for single baggage check.

Arrive at Vancouver airport at least three hours early during the first month due to new route procedures. Download the Air Canada app for mobile boarding passes and real-time delay notifications. Consider travel insurance covering trip interruptions given seasonal typhoon risks in Korea.

The nonstop option simplifies multi-country itineraries combining Canada with South Korea and beyond.
