Emirates confirmed a fifth daily Dubai to London Heathrow flight beginning October 1. Flight EK-5 departs Dubai at 8:15 a.m. and arrives Heathrow at 12:30 p.m. The return EK-6 leaves Heathrow at 2:15 p.m. and reaches Dubai at 11:55 p.m.
The Airbus A380 configuration includes 14 first class suites, 76 business class seats and 525 economy seats. All cabins receive the latest ICE entertainment system with 4K screens. The extra flight increases total weekly capacity by 4,305 seats.
Heathrow slot constraints previously limited Emirates to four daily rotations. A new slot became available after British Airways reduced its Los Angeles service. Emirates paid an undisclosed premium to secure the 8:15 a.m. departure window.
Introductory business class fares start at 2,450 USD round-trip for October travel. First class round-trips begin at 5,800 USD. Emirates offers bonus Skywards miles of 5,000 per leg during the first month.
London remains Emirates' largest European market with 2.1 million passengers carried in 2025. The fifth flight targets corporate demand from the City of London and tech firms in Shoreditch. Cargo capacity supports 20 tons of high-value shipments daily.
Passengers connecting from U.S. and Asian gateways receive through-checked bags and single security screening. Emirates lounge access at both airports expands with additional seating for 180 guests. The airline advises advance seat selection due to high load factors.
Future schedule adjustments may add a sixth daily flight in summer 2027 if demand continues. Emirates continues fleet modernization with new A380 deliveries scheduled through 2028. Travellers should monitor the airline website for exact timings closer to the October launch.
