Visa announced the Asia-Pacific debut of its Visa Destinations platform in Thailand on May 5, 2026, with Singapore scheduled to follow later in the year. Cardholders gain access to handpicked experiences in Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket and emerging destinations.
The platform curates activities focused on local culture, crafts and cuisine, including private temple tours, floating market workshops and farm-to-table dinners. Offers are available exclusively to Visa cardholders via the dedicated website.
Thailand’s tourism board welcomed the initiative as it targets resilient post-pandemic travel demand. The country recorded over 35 million visitors in 2025 and expects similar numbers in 2026.
Users can filter experiences by interest, duration and budget directly in the app. Redemption requires a qualifying Visa transaction at participating merchants.
Similar programmes already operate successfully in Paris, London and Dubai, driving higher spending and longer stays.
Travel agents and hotels in Thailand are integrating the platform into booking flows to capture additional revenue.
The launch positions Thailand as a leader in digital travel innovation within Southeast Asia.
