Aegean Airlines revealed on 12 May 2026 plans to operate four weekly nonstop flights between Athens International Airport and Casablanca Mohammed V International Airport from 1 October. The service will use Airbus A320neo aircraft.

The route marks Aegean’s first destination in North Africa and will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. Flight time is approximately four hours and 15 minutes.

Fares start at €129 one-way in economy with business class seats available from €349. The airline is promoting the service to Greek travellers seeking winter sun and to Moroccan visitors exploring the Greek islands.

Royal Air Maroc will codeshare on the flights, offering connections to Marrakech, Agadir and other Moroccan cities. Passengers can earn miles in both Aegean Miles+Bonus and Royal Air Maroc Safar Flyer programmes.

Morocco recorded a record 14 million visitors in 2025, with European arrivals up 22 percent. Aegean expects the new route to capture a significant share of the growing Greek outbound market to North Africa.

Travellers should be aware that Morocco requires proof of onward travel and sufficient funds for the duration of stay. No visa is needed for EU citizens for stays up to 90 days.

The carrier plans to evaluate daily operations for summer 2027 based on first-season performance and feedback from travel agents in both countries.
